Yes, I will also post the specs off of mine. I NOW have 2 of them. One is a SBR and the other is a Post Sample. I can bet that the specs are different between them.

Yeah, I want to know too.

Also, what locking piece do they use? Are they modified?

And the recoil spring issue too- the rod is shortened and the spring too? The spring isn't just preloaded more? How much is it shortened?

Please note the class 2 also. Dealer sample 51?- HK doesn't make the 51.

Chris.

It is a Vollmer gun done on a 91 with a POST SAMPLE G3 burst pack. It has been timed and runs AWESOME! It is stamped LEO on the receiver. It was for a Palatine, IL copper and he changed his mind and went to a G36K. I kinda walked into the gun by accident. He came into the shop and stated what he wanted and what he had. I got into it for $1400. I told him that he HAD to take a cut in order to sell it and he believed me. He suggested $1400...I was willing to pay $3000!

That is how you get a post sample 51.

That's an INCREDIBLE price for a 51. USP, glad to see ya back posting. Love to get those measurements off BOTH guns, it would help me to validate the cuts I am planning.

Meanwhile........dog. haven't been ignoring ya. Real busy around here lately. Fourth of July's coming up, a real busy time for me. We're on three pages, now, but only eight posts on topic. . Ah, well. If usp'll post some pix and specs, it'll be worth every penny.

Stay green!

Hey, high_order1!

No prob....been the same here. Now I'm just waiting for my SW5 kit and receiver from FAC to show up.....*sigh* Like I have time to mess with this stuff, huh?!?!

P.S. I don't even personally know him but usp40 is my hero for snagging that 51 like that!

To those who wondered, there is NO difference to the locking piece. Only part changed is the bolt CARRIER.

As to recoil spring shortening, ya gotta shorten it OR it will "solid stack" and prevent full rearward movement of the bolt. Here is an easy way to calculate and fit:

After bolt carrier receiver and cocking piece are done, assemble things including stock but not recoil spring. With cocking handle at rear most part of travel, it must not jam against the recoil spring guide rod end thingy. Cut rod off a little at a time with tubing cutter until length is right. After rod is correct length, assemble spring on it. Trim spring a few coils at a time until it does not "solid stack" before bolt is all the way down on buffer. Buffer must limit rearward travel, NOT the spring.

Clear thing up a bit?

what about the locking piece? does this need to be machined or will a g3k piece work?
